Prepare

Choose the main topic

You can organize Microtraining sessions:

  • to offer participants the floor to share their ideas
  • to raise awareness on a certain issue
  • to focus on issues that are in your reach to solve
  • to improve work behavior
  • etc.

Choose the sub-topics

The main topic is divided into sub-topics, one for each session. Sub-topics can be chosen by the Microtrainer and can be discussed during the introduction session, to involve the participants.

Try to cover only one sup-topic in each session. If the topic becomes too big to discuss within 15 minutes, split it up into smaller parts. Place yourself in the participants’ position and divide the session into understandable pieces.

Topic: How to deal with the new regulation on waste separation?

Introductory session Why is waste separation important for us?
Sub-topic session How do we deal with waste in our department?
Sub-topic session What do we need to know about regulation on waste separation.
Sub-topic session Difficulties with the new regulation.
Sub-topic session Ideas for improving the waste separation.
Closure session Evaluation and follow up.

Sometimes it is necessary to evaluate the results of Microtraining. To be able to evaluate Microtraining, it is important to determine the objectives, expectations and indicators in advance. You can find guidelines here.
