Arriving at commitments

In phase 2, the Microtraining sessions are evaluated by the participants and by the Microtrainer. The changes that need to be made on the basis of this evaluation are translated into commitments regarding future activities.

Evaluation by the participants

During the closing session, the participants assess to what extent the Microtraining has had an influence on their role within the organisation as well as their actions at a personal level. This is compared to the expectations that were recorded during the introductory session.

Determining activities

The participants list at least two activities that they will carry out on the work floor and two activities that they suggest to the organisation, thus translating their expectations into activities they want to carry out themselves or with others.

Identify two actions designed to bring about change you are planning to apply in your workplace
  • Implement specific procedures for waste segregation at the department in order to avoid mixing it with raw materials.
  • Increase waste segregation by 30% by the end of the next trimester.
  • Monitor waste segregation on a monthly basis.
Identify two actions designed to bring about change you propose for your organization
  • Publish the newly established waste segregation protocols.
  • Encourage organization members to segregate waste in their workplace.
  • Behave in a visible and exemplary way in relation to waste segregation and thus be a good model for other members of the organization.

Setting up a monitoring plan

The results of the activities have to be monitored, which requires additional information.

The participants translate the commitments into activities on three levels:

  1. their department
  2. their own position

Measuring the results of the activities

The key performance indicators for measuring the results of the activities are determined during the closing session, by the individual participants or by the group. The participants have to be able to assess their activities on the basis of the indicators. For each activity, the participants indicate which resources they need to carry out the activity.
